We are seeking a passionate and visionary Lead Minister to guide and inspire our congregation as we continue to grow in faith and impact our community for Christ.
Position Summary:
The Lead Minister will serve as the primary communicator for Meadowbrook. This role involves providing visionary leadership, dynamic preaching and teaching, pastoral care, and effective organizational leadership in collaboration with the elders. The Lead Minister will be instrumental in fostering a thriving spiritual environment that encourages discipleship, outreach, and unity within the congregation. He must display a desire to continue Meadowbrook’s vision to reach the youth and families in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Spiritual Leadership and Vision Casting:
- Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to the congregation, elders, and staff, consistent with the teachings of Scripture
- Articulate a clear and compelling vision for the church's future, inspiring the congregation to embrace and pursue God's purposes.
- Work collaboratively with the elders to discern God's will for the church and develop strategic plans to achieve its mission.
- Preaching and Teaching:
- Deliver engaging, biblically sound, and relevant sermons that challenge and equip the congregation for spiritual growth and daily living.
- Provide leadership for and participate in various teaching ministries, such as Bible studies, adult education, and discipleship programs.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, fostering understanding and application of biblical truth.
- Pastoral Care and Discipleship:
- Provide compassionate pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, and support during times of joy and crisis.
- Develop and promote a culture of discipleship, equipping members to grow in their faith and become fully devoted followers of Christ.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages spiritual growth and meaningful connections among members.
- Organizational Leadership and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the elders, staff, and ministry leaders to ensure effective and coordinated ministry efforts.
- Provide leadership and support to staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the development and implementation of church programs and ministries in alignment with the church's vision and mission.
- Serve as a primary representative of the church to the wider community.
- Collaborate with the worship director/team to create meaningful and engaging worship experiences that honor God and edify the congregation.
Qualifications:
- A deep and mature faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to living a life consistent with biblical principles.
- An understanding of and commitment to the core tenets of the Restoration Movement.
- Degree from Christian University/College preferred.
- Experience in pastoral ministry, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong preaching and teaching abilities, with a passion for making Scripture relevant and accessible.
- Proven ability to provide pastoral care, counsel, and spiritual guidance.
- Experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and team collaboration.
- A servant-hearted leader with a passion for outreach and evangelism.
- Ordination in a like-minded church/congregation
- Meets the scriptural requirements of elder found in 1 Timothy and Titus 1.
